The role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Collections Agent to join our team. Our Collections Agents take responsibility for ensuring we provide the best customer service experience possible throughout the process of securing all payments and collections from our customers, negotiating repayment plans and offering alternative options where required. This includes responding to customer contact, liaising with customers to discuss payments, identifying any appropriate alternative options available to customers and liaising with other teams to provide a seamless customer journey.

Please note that this is a fixed-term opportunity for a period of 9 months.

About you:

You will have a confident telephone manner and a natural ability to build and maintain rapport with customers. A customer service or collections background would be favourable. You are professional, patient and can remain calm under pressure. You are a great communicator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to empathise. You will take time to fully understand a customer's circumstances and negotiate effectively to ensure the best outcome for both the customer and the business.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced System Analyst to take ownership of all aspects of our business as usual requirement activities. You will be responsible for independently conducting business analysis, which will include documenting detailed business and system solution requirements, as well as developing plans and accurate estimates for completion of change requirements. This is a key role that will provide technical support for data processes used within the Pelican Business Services team, and drive a customer-focused, data-driven culture within the wider business. You will be responsible for identifying system and application opportunities, influencing prioritisation and sharing knowledge with colleagues using our top of the class suite of tools.
Contact Centre Adviser (Inbound)

Our contact centre is the heart of our business, the first point of contact for the majority of our customers and we pride ourselves on delivering a first-class experience. The contact centre is a busy, fast paced environment where you will be answering an average of 50-60 inbound calls per day from our customers and helping them with their queries. Whilst the majority of our queries will be dealt with over the phone, we also receive contact via e-mail and live chat, and once trained you will also be responsible for liaising with our customers this way.
