Who are we?

Pelican Business Services, based in Nailsea, provide customer services on behalf of Wessex Water and Bristol Water. From meter reading and billing to collection and managing the end-to-end customer experience, we are proud to help our clients deliver excellent service. The role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a collections agent to join our team. A collections agent is a responsible position dealing with a wide range of customers. You will be responsible for collecting payments, negotiating repayment plans and referring customers to colleagues or external advice agencies for help with their water bills or their wider financial circumstances.

About you:

You will have a confident telephone manner, a customer service or collections background, and a natural ability to build and maintain rapport with customers. You are professional, patient and can remain calm under pressure. You are a great communicator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to empathise. You will take time to fully understand a customer's circumstances and negotiate effectively to ensure the best outcome for the customer and the business.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident and motivated administrator within our Processing Centre supporting our customer services and meter operations teams. You will be responsible for managing high volume administrative tasks, including application forms, updating customer information and engaging with your team to achieve targets and key performance indicators. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer contact and the ability to communicate effectively is key as we liaise with parent companies and customers to ensure we manage and enhance our customer journey.
